These are commonly called "break-in" records by their fans; some say
"cut-in". The first example was The Flying Saucer by Buchanan & Goodman
(Luniverse 101), which made Billboard's Top Ten in August of 1956.

I have several of this type of record for sale in the original 45 RPM
vinyl discs.
