![]() "red raider" wrote in message ... I have an old Explorer and get better AM reception than in a new Lexus. What can one do? Also, it seems electrical lines cause lots of problems. I try and listen to a small station Radio Sandy Springs 1620 AM in Sandy Springs, GA and some place I get great reception in other places lots of static. Again, what can a person do? That depends on the quality of the radio in the car, the type of antenna, and how good the connections were made. Several years ago some auto manufacturers got rid of the whip antenna and replaced it with embedded wires in the windshield. The results were poor distant radio reception, varying also on the direction the car was traveling with respect to the location of the station's transmitter. |
