Saga Prepping Portland ME Changes

Saga Communications has begun a shuffle of their AM properties in Portland
ME. Standards 1490 The Bay WBAE Portland has dropped its format and has
begun simulcasting Talk 970 WZAN. On January 1, WZANs programming will be
heard exclusively on 1490. The move of WZAN will make room for ESPN Radio
on 970. ESPN is currently heard in the market on Atlantic Coast Radios 95.9
WPEI Saco in overnights and weekends. Saga registered ESPNPortland.com in
May.

Jim Bohannon Retires From America in the Morning

Jim Bohannon is exiting the syndicated America in the Morning following the
Friday, December 18 program. Bohannon has hosted the show since its debut
in 1984. John Trout, a long time CHR morning personality and programmer at
stations including WSTO Evansville, WHOT Youngstown and WKST Pittsburgh
before moving into television and radio news and meteorology will take over
starting January 18, 2016. Bohannon will continue to host Westwood Ones Jim

Cumulus Makes Corporate Management Appointments

Ahead of an internal web-conference with employees tomorrow, Cumulus Media
CEO Mary Berner has made a few new appointments. Former Clear Channel
Outdoor President/COO Suzanne Grimes as President of Westwood One and
Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing for all of Cumulus. Her
duties will involve integrating of all advertising platforms and overseeing
brand marketing for the company as a whole. Chief Marketing Officer Pierre
Bouvard and VP/Social Media Lori Lewis will now reported to Grimes. Tommy
Page is promoted to Senior Vice President of Brand Partnerships NASH. He
will oversee the development and execution of the Nash brand

Community Broadcasting Add Four More In South Carolina

Jim Leven and Bruce Mittman’s Community Broadcasters are continuing to
expand in South Carolina. After purchasing Miller Communications 12
stations, 10 translators, and 3 LPTV CP’s in September for $2.5 million,
Community Broadcasters four stations from Glory Communications for
$850,000. The stations are Gospel 94.5 WSPX Bowman/Orangeburg, 98.3 WLJI
Summerton/Sumter, 105.1 WPDT Coward/Florence and Brokered Talk The Point
1490 WTQS Cameron. For the three FMs, Community is entering into a
Programming Agreement with the seller to continue to carry the programming
of their 95.3 WFMV South Congaree/Columbia which will air from 12pm through
5am weekdays on all three stations as

WZMG Flips To Gospel

iHeartMedia has flipped Urban AC InTouch 910 WZMG Pepperell AL to Gospel.
Now branded as Hallelujah 910, the station swaps the Westwood One Touch
network programming for iHearts Premium Choice internal programming. WZMG
serves the Auburn market in-between Montgomery and Columbus GA.
