Wellness Radio Debuting In Minneapolis

Following the move of Business 1570 KYCR to 1440 last month, Salem will
launch Wellness Radio 1570 KDIZ Golden Valley/Minneapolis on Monday,
January 11. While Salem is promoting the new Health Wellness format as the
first of its kind, a previous attempt was made in the late 1990s by 1390
WZHF Washington DC. Programming will include Dr. Asa On Call from 12-3pm as
well as Doctor’s Choice Coffee, River Ahava Wellness, Like It Matters, LLC
and Healthline Live with Dr. Bob Marshall. Salem Media Group Twin Cities
will launch the first-of-its-kind format on Monday, January 11th at 7am with

More CBS Radio Holiday Exits

Over the holiday break names of more people affected by the end of 2015
budget cuts at CBS Radio became known. Among those exiting the company a
Pat Carroll, who had been with News 880 WCBS New York since 1995 and in
mornings since 1996. Wayne Cabot moves from afternoons to mornings to join
Paul Murnane. Michael Wallace becomes Steve Scotts afternoon co-anchor
while also anchoring the 12pm hour solo. Kenny Walker departs Country 99.9
Kiss Country WKIS Miami after seven years following the expiration of his
contract. Walker is best known for his long run at CHR Y100 WHYI

Forever's WGTY Is Feeling Froggy

As expected when Forever Media purchased Great Country 107.7 WGTY
Gettysburg/York PA late last year, the station has rebranded as Froggy
107.7. Unlike most of the other stations to use the Froggy moniker
particularly those owned by Forever, the existing WGTY airstaff will not
change their names to amphibian puns. With the exception of recently
acquired 105.3 WFRB Frostburg MD, all of Forevers Country stations utilize
the Froggy brand name.

KFWB Los Angeles Sold

The KFWB License Trust has sold Sports 980 The Beast KFWB Los Angeles to
Universal Media Access for $15 million. Also doing business as Principle
Broadcasting, the Mercury Capital Partners owned company operates
time-brokered stations in San Jose, Boston, Long Island and Seattle.
Universal Media Access intends to begin operating KFWB in February, which
will lead to the end of the Sports format on the station and likely
necessitate the NBAs Los Angeles Clippers and MLS Los Angeles Galaxy to
find a new flagship station. KFWB has been held by the KFWB License Trust
since 2010 after the FCC forced

Deon Levingston Out As Emmis NY Market Manager; Others Too?

Emmis New York Market Manager/GM Deon Levingston has exited the company
following the expiration of his contract at the end of 2015. Levingston
joined Emmis in February 2014 as part of the companys purchase of WBLS and
WLIB New York from YMF Media where he had served as VP and GM for the
stations under YMF and Inner City Broadcastings ownership. He also served
as President of YMF from October 2013 until joining Emmis. In addition to
Levingston, we have heard that other employees across the company on the
upper end of the pay scale will not have their contracts
