Big Boy Moves Syndication To Premiere Networks

iHeartMedia Urban Real 92.3 KRRL Los Angeles morning host Big Boy is moving
syndication of his show to iHearts Premiere Radio Networks. The show will
be made available to Urban and Rhythmic CHR stations to air between 5am and
7pm daily. The show was previously distributed by Westwood One. – Premiere
Networks announced today the addition of Big Boy’s Neighborhood to its
lineup of nationally syndicated programs.Â* Beginning March 28, the company
will assume distribution rights to the top-rated program, which will
continue to originate from iHeartMedia’s Real 92.3 in Los Angeles, and will
be made available to Urban Contemporary and CHR Rhythmic stations from 5
a.m. 7 p.m. local time on weekdays and weekends. Big Boy’s Neighborhood
joined Real 92.3Â*in March of 2015, and maintained its statusthe #1 Urban
Contemporary/CHR Rhythmic morning show in Los Angeles (Source: Nielsen

KDAY Update

Update 3/23: Meruelo has been granted an STA for 93.5 KDEY-FM Ontario that
partially gives away their plans. KDEY-FM filed an STA to operate at
reduced power starting tomorrow, March 24 through April 6 and to then go
off-the-air from April 7 through 20 to test different interference
conditions between it and KDAY. Those tests will help Mereulo determine the
amount of interference that would be created by breaking the simulcast
between KDAY and KDEY-FM. That points to Mereulo utilizing the Wild935.com
assets on KDEY-FM, while retaining the current Classic Hip-Hop on KDAY.

Ontario/Riverside. Merulo has registered Wild935.com and reserved social
media accounts for the brand. The domain was at one point registered by
former KDAY GM Roy Laughlin during its previous ownership by Magic
Broadcasting and the KDEY-FM side held the KWIE calls during its run as
Rhythmic AC Flo 93.5 from 2007-2009. Our expectation is that if both
stations arent flipping to Rhythmic CHR with the Wild identity, it will be
just KDEY-FM doing so to continue the attack on iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR
99.1 KGGI started by All-Pro Broadcastings flip of 103.9 KCXX to Rhythmic
Hot AC Hot 103.9 KHTI at the start of this year.

Logan Returns To Philadelphia As WBEB Afternoon Host

AC 101.1 More-FM WBEB Philadelphia has appointed Logan as their new
afternoon host starting Monday, April 11. Logan has spent much of his radio
career in the Philadelphia market hosting afternoons at CHR Q102 WIOQ as
Joe Mama from 2000-2004 and Morning host/APD/MD at Hot AC Mix 106.1 WISX
from 2006-2014. He joins WBEB from Cumulus Fort Walton Beach FL where he
was programming AC Coast 93.3 WNCV and News/Talk 1260 WFTW as well as
hosting mornings at WNCV. He has also worked at WTIC-FM and WKSS Hartford,
WUBT Chicago, KDMX Dallas and WHTZ New York as Freddie Vedder. Logan
replaces Dave Moore who exited the station in February.
