its older skewing Regional Mexican format as 92.1 Fresno. KLLE rimshots
Fresno from the northeast and registered a 1.2 share in the Winter 2016

Ownership Change Leads To Country Split On California Coast

Posted: 01 May 2016 02:01 PM PDT
https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...ifornia-coast/

With El Dorado Broadcasters selling half of their Sunny Country simulcast
in San Luis Obispo/Santa Maria CA, the market finds itself with two
competing stations. American General Media has closed on its purchase of
102.5 KSNI-FM and News/Talk 1240 KSMX Santa Maria from El Dorado. KSNI-FM
retains the Sunny Country branding but the airstaff exits. Jay Turner, who
served as PD/Morning Host at KSNI from 1999 through 2012 returns to the
station as APD/Morning Host. He had been working as PD/Afternoon host at El
Dorados Classic Rock 99.1 KXFM in the market. With El Dorado retaining 96.1
KSLY-FM San Luis Obispo, the station has become 96.1 SLO Country. Group
Production Director Scott Taylor and AC Coast 101.3 KSTT midday host
Jennifer Grant will host mornings at KSLY. The two stations previously ran
competing Country formats until merging under the Sunny Country banner in
2012.
