The Usenet spam, that hawks the "save-howard.com" website attempting to capitalize on Mr. Stern's name, is posted with the email address " which traces with Google to a website for a band that lists a Mr. Paul Brantley as the "bass player," and even includes a photograph and biography of a Mr. Paul Brantley: http://www.whoisalansmithee.com/biography_paul.htm I'm just adding nanau to the list of newsgroups here because I think this needs to be seen over there. Alrighty then. Why? The original message was posted to *one* newsgroup (rec.radio.broadcasting) - unless it was multiposted to other groups that I didn't catch. As far as the URL is concerned, I post RRB submissions manually and don't typically bother checking URLs. The subject matter of the CafePress site to which the original URL forwards is NOT off-topic for rec.radio.broadcasting. I'll grant that it doesn't seem to actually be anything besides a cheap effort to sell T-shirts, but it wasn't off-topic.
