Default best software for radio station

We are setting up a small narrowcast radio station in our town (Kyogle
Australia) and are not sure the best software to buy. I've been
looking at Raduga because it looks simple to use which is important
because we will have a large group of opperatators who will not all be
computer literate.

Any comment about this program or others we should consider?

www.winamp.com

Download the crossfading plugins and leveling plugins for it, too.
I'm using SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading and it runs the RockSteady
compander plugin so it can override the leveling when crossfading from
one song to another.

Just put 500 hours of programming into the playlist and walk
away....(c; Runs smooth as glass and has never crashed Win98SE on an
old slow 533 Mhz HP 8495.

Did anyone mention it's free?

I'm using OtsDJ on my home computer. It even does its own dynamics
processing that makes the music sound like it's coming from a real radio
station if you want to set it that way.

You can download a demo for free.

I use otsjuke at my home as well...only i'm not really thrilled with the
processing. It's not as good as a broadcast processor, but it works for
keeping the sound card sane.

Ots is great at mixes...which is why I use it.

OtsDJ is great, but BEWARE! Its dynamics processing is not as good as they
make it sound.
