The Satellite radio company announced that Jonelle Procope is joining its
Board of Directors. Procope is the President and CEO of the Apollo Theater
Foundation, a non-profit that operates the Apollo Theater in New York.
She'll be paid a cash retainer of $100,000 and $175,000 in restricted stock.

Gow Media is rebranding SB Nation to the SportsMap Radio Network. Gow has
owned the network for over ten years, when it acquired the assets of
Sporting News Radio. Gow then rebranded the network to Yahoo Sports Radio
for five years and then SB Nation Radio for four years.

ESPN Says Podcasts Continue to Grow

The sports network says in June its podcasts were downloaded 42.7 million
times, a 31% increase over June 2019. It was also the eighth month in the
last nine that ESPN podcasts have been downloaded more than 40 million
times.

COVID Slashes Podcast Revenue Forecast in Half

Before the coronavirus pandemic stifled economic growth in the United
States, the IAB projected podcast revenue would grow nearly 30% in 2020.
That number has been revised to 14.7% due to the impact of COVID-19.
