Dan Vallie has spent many years of his life creating a national program to
teach young adults about choosing radio as a career. His passion resulted
in eight 10-day long programs, better known as the National Radio Talent
System. On Wednesday it was announced that the RAB would be taking over the
company.

BIA Revises Revenue DownAgain

Due to the continued economic uncertainty brought on by COVID-19, BIA
Advisory Services has adjusted its estimate for 2020 local advertising
revenue down another $4 billion. Back in November of 2019 BIA estimated
local ad revenue at $161.3 Billion. In April that was revised to $144.3
billion. Now that number is down to $140.4 billion.

FCC Settles With Three More Over Political Files

Last month the FCC settled online political file violations with six of
radio's largest broadcasters. This week The Commission announced consent
decrees to resolve similar investigations with Fort Myers Broadcasting, BMZ
Broadcasting and Cohan Radio Group.

The owners of KRSN AM FM in Los Alamos will be turning out the lights on
August 30th. COVID-19 is the cause. The station survived by broadcasting
local sports and events and from the advertising from small businesses. The
owners say with everything shut down the revenue has dried up.

That's according to GM Tim Eby. He says it exists at the organization he
runs and that's unacceptable. "I'm committed to making meaningful change as
