As we first broke earlier this week, iHeartMedia launched Hip Hop 97.3 The
Beat W247DL Westfield/WHYN-HD2 Springfield MA.

Running commercial-free through the month of December, the station will
carry The Breakfast Club in mornings with the website listing WHRK Memphis
based Big Sue, KRRL Los Angeles Big Boy, and WJBT Jacksonvilles T-Roy as
rounding out the lineup.

iHeartMedia's Fall Cuts Continue Into December

Update 12/4:Additional cuts are ongoing today in multiple markets including
Erie, Panama City and Los Angeles. There are still quite a few markets
(some large) that have yet to be affected so this is not over yet.

Update 12/1:After a slowdown over the Thanksgiving holiday, the iHeartMedia
layoffs have picked back up as the Atlanta cluster saw cuts today.

This marks the third round of layoffs for the company this year following
the massive cuts in January and the conversion of furloughs into layoffs in
September.

While there are additional names that havent gone public yet, among the
names going public with their exits from the company include:
Akron

Tony McGinty departs as Digital Content Coordinator for Akron, Canton,
Cleveland and Youngstown and morning co-host at Classic Rock Rock 106.9
WRQK. McGinty moved to WRQ in January after seven years co-hosting mornings
on Hot AC 98.1 WKDD. He can be reached at or

Amy Malone departs as evening host at Hot AC 98.1 WKDD and Production
Director for the Akron/Canton cluster.
Albany NY

Terry ODonnell departs as SVP/Programming and PD of Hot AC 99.5 The River
WRVE and CHR 102.3 Kiss-FM WKKF. ODonnell has previously programming WFLY
and WQSH Albany and WPKF Poughkeepsie and SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia
Springfield MA.

BJ The Web Guy Ragone exits as Director of Online Content and weekend host
on Hot AC 99.5 The River WRVE.

Jill Manti departs as Marketing Director.
Albuquerque

Michael Rivera departs the dual market role of Program Director of Country
Big I 107.9 KBQI Albuquerque and 96.3 KHEY El Paso TX. Rivera joined KHEY
in June 2019 and added the duties at KBQI later that month.
Anchorage

Bill Stu Stewart departs as PD/morning co-host at KASH Country 107.5
KASH-FM after 29 years in the cluster. Prior to moving to KASH-FM in 2015,
Stewart held the same role at CHR 101.3 KGOT beginning in 1991.

Scott Rhode departs as a news reporter at News/Talk 650 KENI.
Atlanta

CHR Power 96.1 WWPW loses all of its local talent.

PK In The Morning comes to an end as PK and Denise Kalentzis and Duryan
Smith exit. PK Denise joined WWPW in January 2016 after stints in mornings
at KKHH Houston and KXJM Portland, the latter of which syndicated their
show through the 2000s.

Ryan Maddox exits as APD/MD/afternoon host at WWPW. Maddox joined WWPW at
its launch in 2012 and moved into his current role in 2014. He previously
worked at WXXL Orlando and WFLZ Tampa.

At Country 94.9 The Bull WUBL, Otis Maher departs as Music
Director/afternoon host after just shy of four years. Otis joined WUBL in
2017 after stints in CHR as APD/MD of WNKS Charlotte and PD of WDJX
Louisville.
Austin

Ryan Kramer exits as PD/Morning Host at Hip Hop 102.3 The Beat KPEZ and PD
of Sports 1300/103.1 The Zone KVET.

Anthony AntMan Allen exits as PD of Country 98.1 KVET-FM and 100.7 KASE.
Allen has joined the stations in 2017 after serving as APD/MD at Country
102.5 KNIX Phoenix, PD/Afternoon host at 97.9 WSIX Nashville and as Program
Director of KZSN Wichita.

Morning hosts Chip Brown and Mike Hardge and producer Shannon Sweeney
depart Sports 1300/103.1 The Zone KVET.

Rex Long exits as Program Director of CHR 96.7 Kiss-FM KHFI and Alternative

three and a half years at the station.

Doug VB Goudie exits 12-3pm at Conservative Talk 680 WRKO. Goudie was a

and since 2018 early afternoons.

Shelby Taranto departs as Production Director and midday host at Rock 101.1
WGIR-FM Manchester NH.

Brittany Jennings exits as morning show producer and weekend host at 680

JJ Cook departs as SVP/Programming for the cluster and PD of Classic Hits

Travis Dylan exits as Senior VP/Programming after 25 years with the

Program Director of WIOQ Philadelphia, and Music Director of Z100 WHTZ New
York. Herbster was also VP/Programming for defunct startup Goom Radio.

Kristina Kage exits as morning host at Hip Hop Jamn 107.5 KXJM and
afternoon host at AC K103 KKCW. Outside of a stint at WLIT Chicago, Kage
has been based in Portland for her career. She also tracked for multiple
iHeart stations across the country.

Cort Webber departs as Program Director of Alternative Alt 102.3 K272EL,
Classic Rock 105.9 The Brew KFBW and Conservative Talk 1190 KEX after a
decade with the cluster. Webber joined the company in February 2010 after

Derrick Martin departs as Region President overseeing St. Louis and

Lynn Hernandez departs as Music Director and midday host at Rock 97.5 KMOD
and afternoon host at 94.7 The Brew KBRU Oklahoma City. During his tenure
with the company Hernandez also worked at KDGE/KEGL/KZPS Dallas.
Washington DC

Jen Richer departs as News Director/midday anchor at 104.7 Wonk-FM
W284CQ/WWDC-HD2.

Stacy Lyn exits as morning anchor on 104.7 Wonk-FM W284CQ/WWDC-HD2 and
midday host for iHearts national Classic Hits and Oldies formats.

Nia Marciante exits as Promotions Director of Country 98.7 WMZQ and Classic
Rock Big 100.3 WBIG-FM. She came to Washington in 2018 after five years at
iHeart Philadelphia.

Kevin White exits as a producer and Imaging Director at Country 98.7 WMZQ.
West Palm Beach

Rad Messick is out as Regional SVP/Programming West Palm Beach. Messick had
been with iHeart since 2012 previously overseeing other markets including
Omaha and previously programmed for Cumulus Media Networks and was SVP of
Broadcast Architecture. Earlier im his career Messick launched WFYV
Jacksonville, and programmed WDIZ Orlando and WKGR/WPBZ West Palm Beach.

Dave Hanson exits as PD of CHR Wild 95.5 WLDI. Hanson joined the station as
Creative Services Director in mid-2019 and quietly rose to PD. He
previously worked for Cox Miami as Assistant Director of
Branding/Programming and Music Director of CHR “Hits 97.3” WFLC. During his
time with Cox he also served as Music Director for Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ
and predecessors “93 Rock” WHDR and “Party 93.1” WPYM.

Ethan Briner exits as Director of Marketing and Promotions for the West
Palm Beach and Treasure Coast clusters.
Wheeling

Jimmy Elliott departs as Vice President of Programming for the cluster as
well as PD/morning host at Country 98.7 WOVK after 27 years.
Wichita

Don Pollnow departs as Market President after a year and a half. Prior to
joining iHeart, Pollnow served as Market Manager for Cumulus Green Bay.

Jim Dorman departs as SVP/Programming and PD of AC “B98” KRBB and Country
“102.1 The Bull” KZSN. Dorman joined iHeartWichita in 2017 after previously
working for multiple record labels. Earlier in his career he programmed
WSJR Wilkes-Barre.

Emerson College Adult Alternative 88.9 WERS Boston is expanding its
late-night Hip Hop/RB programming into a second HD2/streaming brand WERS
Plus.

Branded as Bostons Black Experience, the station describes its programming
as follows:

WERS Plus is a deep dive into RB and Hip Hop that includes the legendary
voices of soul alongside new and pioneering mc’s. Funky fresh beats combine
with thought provoking lyrics that pierce through the issues that impact
cities across our nation. Featuring established acts and indie artists on
the rise, every day all day WERS Plus threads together the most powerful
and outspoken members of the urban music community, presenting a Black
Experience that’s as danceable as it is insightful. Powered by 88.9 FM,
WERS Plus is a whole unique vibe that hits different.

WERS Plus launched on Thursday, December 3 at 12pm. The Broadway/Show Tunes
Standing Room Only format that had been on WERS-HD2 as moved online only.

88.9 FM WERS, is working to address Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with a
new 24/7 urban music stream.

Launched on Thursday December 3rd at noon, the new music format has a home
at 88.9 FM HD-2 for those with HD-equipped radios. ERS+ is also be
available as a stream online and via an app at www.WERSPLUS.org.

Before names like Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah or Mary J Blige were
well known, WERS had a history of supporting them. Vintage WERS programs
like The Black Experience, Rap Explosion and 88.9@Night still conjure fond
memories for those keen on music discovery.

Now, WERS brings its rich past into the present with ERS+. The channel
revives The Black Experience and serves Bostons RB and Hip Hop community
with the newest voices, such as Tobe Nwigwe, VanJess, and Durrand Bernarr
along with a variety of favorites.

Oregon Public Broadcasting To Shut Down opbmusic Channel

Oregon Public Broadcasting has announced it will be shutting down the
HD2/streaming Adult Alternative opbmusic on Friday, December 11.

opbmusic launched in 2007 and aired on 91.5 KOPB-HD2 Portland as well as in
overnights on 88.5 KMUZ Turner/100.7 K264AA Salem OR. The station states
some features such as their currently on hiatus studio sessions and Monday
Mix will continue, while the organization will devote our resources to
broader music and arts coverage across OPB’s platforms.

Beasley Media sells the license for 980 WHSR Pompano Beach and 103.9 W280DU
Boca Raton FL to Sam Rogatinskys HMDF LLC for $362,500. WHSR is currently
operating via STA from a tower of Beasleys 1470 WWNN Pompano Beach and
intends to file an application within two weeks for a new permanent
facility after Beasley sold the land used by WHSR and 740 WSBR Boca Raton
for $7.1 million.

Educational Media Foundation and CSN International are swapping signals in
Kingman AZ. CSN will send 89.9 KVIR Bullhead City to EMF, while receiving
91.9 KLKI Dolan Springs in exchange. Prior to closing, CSN will be required
to replace the transmitter, air conditioning and doors of the transmitter
room, while ensuring the antenna is properly grounded.

Vintage Radio Enterprises sells Oldies/Standards 980 WAKV Otsego MI and the
CP for 98.9 W255DF Otsego to Eric Mills and Scott Pastoors Qunicy-Richard
LLC. The deal will be split with the buyer paying $85,000 for the stations
and $10,000 for the real estate assets. The buyers own WYGR LLC and its
94.9 Jethro-FM 1530 WYGR Wyoming/Grand Rapids along with its two
translators.
