Will HD radio signal penetrate metal building
David Eduardo wrote:
Our experience at KTNQ is the oppostite. Many places where the analog signal is noisy have HD reception that is pristine. HD expands the coverage area of KTNQ due to the high noise level on the analog signals in LA. IBOC doesn't seem to improve weak signal coverage, especially not within a steel frame bldg. Indeed, someone in a car listening a signal wiped out by power lines might get an improvement if the IBOC signal is strong enough, but weak signal usually switches to analog reception which leaves the listener in the same position as before, no available signal. |
