This is a foolish post by an uninformed individual.

Lets start at the beginning. Magoo made a comment that he was going to beat
Russ Martin, Dallas' number 1 afternoon show in the ratings. When last I
heard Martin had an unprecedented 14 share during his show and number 1 in
the 12+ (ie, everyone demographic). Magoo commented that when he beat the
Russ Martin Show he would be sending Russ a dead fish.

For those who don't know, Russ is a sarcastic and at times abrasive
humorist, but at the same time he's a generous and warm hearted average
guy's guy - though he'd never admit that. Alot of us listeners are fans of
his show because of this - though some of us would never admit that. Russ
gives his time and money generously to his Heroes Foundation honoring the
families of Fire Fighters and Police Officers who fall in the line of duty
and to Operation Kindness a Dallas area no-kill animal shelter. Also
recently he's taken it upon himself to see that a less-then-fortunate family
will have a Merry Christmas this year.

Because of Magoo's comments, Russ didn't pull any punches when it came to
Magoo and did make some comments on the air about him. Russ Martin, in
fact, never said that listeners should try to grab Magoo's throat. Russ has
also never stated that Cancer patients have it coming from booze and smokes
as though it's deserved. Russ is a drinker, and a fan of drinking, even a
casual listener has heard his Gentleman Jack Cork Pop several times.
Further disproving the theory that Russ has a cold heart towards those with
cancer is the story of Dallas Morning News Radio Critic and close personal
friend of Russ and the Russ Martin Show Cast; Al Brumley. Al died in Oct
2003 after a long and crippling fight with brain cancer - to this day he is
still memorialized on the Russ Martin Show website (www.russmartin.com) in a
presentation that still brings this 28 year old male to tears when I click
on it.

After Russ understandably taking a defensive position to Magoo's OUTLANDISH
claims that he would possibly compete and even beat Russ' ratings, a
LISTENER called in with the idea to make a delivery of a dead fish with a
cigarette in it's mouth to Magoo. These deliveries have been a running joke
on the show, still being performed by an unpaid LISTENER of the show until
recently when Magoo savagely attacked the listener who is currently
undergoing medical treatment for his injuries, has filed assault charges,
and will most certainly file civil charges. For this, all KZPS felt
inclined to do was suspend Magoo for a day or two...

I would also remind you, as one who is obviously a Magoo and KZPS supporter,
to cross check your request stop supporting advertisers on 105.3 because
many of those same companies run spots on KZPS also. I mean hell... If they
can afford 1 spot during the Russ Martin Show they can probably buy every
other spot in a 24hr period on KZPS for the same price.

and at 105.3 Free Radio and let them know that this treatment of Cancer
patients is UNACCEPTABLE!
