I was doing a little internet browsing -- and the last two major surviving
live country music radio shows are (of course) the Grand Ole Opry on WSM, and the more obscure Wheeling Jamboree, aka Jamboree USA over WWVA. Is WWVA phasing out the Saturday night Jamboree? Reason I ask -- looking at the live scheduled shows at the Capitol Music Hall, other than a theatrical presentation ("Cats" on Februrary 12), there aren't any concerts or performers listed. But the Jamboree USA website is still up there... just no concerts listed.. ???? |
