KNX's "extended" traffic coverage also
covers the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino counties),
including
I-15 through southern San Bernardino County up into the Cajon Pass, the
route I take to get home.

How well can you get KNX that far east, during the day?

I drive KNX into the Coachella Valley, good to the end of the Morongo
Valley, days. There is a skywave cancellation zone between Redlands and Palm
Springs, making night reception very fluttery.

Also heard well in Apple Valley and Victorville daytime.

It's not really a question of "how far east" as much as it is "how far
northeast." :

Driving up from San Diego yesterday, I tuned in right at the San Diego
County/Riverside County border. Reception was a bit spotty between downtown
Temecula and the county line, but other than that it was crystal clear up
into the Cajon Pass. It was iffy in the pass, but there are only a couple
stations (on either band) that you can hear well there. Once out of the pass
I was fine, as I got off the freeway in Hesperia and headed up US 395 to
pick up my kids.

Now, coming over from 395 to my house was another matter. I normally take
Air Base Road out of Adelanto, to Route 66, which eventually curves and
becomes State Highway 18. I live north of Highway 18 on the far side of
Apple Valley. KNX reaches Adelanto and western Victorville quite well, but
reception is spotty on my side of town.

Might be better on the south side of Apple Valley. Haven't checked.
