If you just want to talk to others on the road when travel a cheep radio
from radio shack or a yard sale will work fine. A good place to buy used
equipment cheap eBay (you can pay by money order on most of it). The
galaxies are good if you have the money to buy an illegal radio. No mater
what radio you get you will need is the best antenna you can get. The
antenna is the must important part of a radio system.
