Just kidding. My branch on the tree grew from

a long line of thieves and drunks that

staggered out of the Ozarks. You won't see

many of them getting much public attention

outside of a court or lynch mob.


That's funny. It's amazing what we find in our ancestry. I imagine back
in the day folks in the hills weren't much different than the rural
folks in the south. Whiskey, agriculture, cattle and whatever made the
dime.

Richard Peter Gilliland is accused of sexually molesting a 17-year-old
male in West Allis, Wisconsin, on March 14, 1997. Gilliland, while
working as a minister of a church, allegedly invited the teenager to
look at computer-generated pornographic pictures on the Internet.
During this visit, Gilliland allegedly molested the boy.
Gilliland is a registered sex offender in the states of Arizona,
California, and Washington. Presently, he is wanted by authorities in
Washington State for communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.

Even better, if you see him contact ME and I'll make sure he doesn't
get the chance to skip bail. If he's like most of this branch of the
Gillilands he's either back in Arizona or hiding with relatives, very
possibly in Oregon.

Nope, but did you see how he held the lead for the first 18, dropped
back to 41 and a lap down, then worked all the way back to threaten
the lead? He's one to keep an eye on for next year's Demolition Derby.

He seems like a good kid in the few interviews I've seen of him, and he
gets up on the wheel too.

I might start rooting for him.

BTW, no relation to Richard Gilliland (the actor), either.

Anytime I hear the name Gilliland I think of you now. It ain't a real
common name around here anyway so it's not very often.

Hey Frank, he crashed in qualifying today in Vegas. I think he's still in
the race on owner points, he'll have to start at the rear with his back-up
car.
