I am currently modifying the above referenced multi-tube linear amp. I need parts. does anyone have one of these amps that I can purchase: working or not. No need to buy a schematic from a "PROFESSIONAL CB'er (Maycom, etc.). WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO "GOOD BUDDYS" WHO WOULD SHARE THERE INFORMATION WITH ANYONE??WHY MUST PROFIT COME FIRST WHEN WE SHARE A RECREATIONAL INTEREST?JUST LIKE A DRUG ADDICT IN RECOVERY WHO KNOWS NOTHING ELSE BUT ADDICTION AND MUST THEN TRY TO PROFIT ON HIS/HER KNOWLEDGE AS THEY TRY TO HELP THOSE STILL SUFFERING. THE OLD GOOD BUDDYS HAVE SOLD OUT BY TRYING TO PROFIT ON THEIR KNOWLEGE WHICH WAS ONCE NOTHING MORE THAN A COLLECTION OF GOOD WILL COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE.THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR IS WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CB DAYS OF OLD. NO LONGER CAN YOU FIND A GOOD BUDDY WITH FREELY GIVEN BY GOOD WILL ANY AND ALL INFORMATION THEY HAVE. IT IS CALLED SHARING. AS PROFIT CORRUPTS OUR CITIZEN'S BAND WHICH IS NOW FULL OF SELF ANNOINTED "PROFESSIONALS" WHO, FOR AN UNJUST FEE, WILL SELL WHAT WAS SO FREELY GIVEN TO THEM WHEN THEY WERE THE NEW JACKS ON THE BAND.A "PROFESSIONAL CITIZEN BAND OPERATOR." HAS CITIZENSHIP BECOME SUBJECT TO SALE? I HAVE NO OBJECTION FOR CITIZEN BAND OPERATORS CHARGING A FEE FOR SERVICE (RADIO REPAIR, SALES ETC.). BUT TO SELL INFORMATION THAT WAS ONCE FREELY GIVEN SEEMS OBSCENE TO ME. THAT IS WHY I AM NOW AS HAM RADIO OPERATROR WHERE YOU CAN STILL FIND A GOOD BUDDY WHO WILL PROVIDE INFORMATION (COPIES OF SCHEMATICS) WITHOUT A FEE.

Blah blah blah blah blah....

You are what killed CB radio as I knew it 50 years ago...
Psychotic lunitics that couldn't follow the rules and didn't want to follow the rules and talked like you were on crack.

Ham radio does not include good buddies - who ever gave you a license should be kicked in the nads...

To be a commissioned licensed amateur - you have to follow all the rules in all of the radio services, not just the amateur radio service.

This means that if you transmit with 3 watts AM or 12 watts pep ssb - that you are operating illegally. If you get caught, because you are licensed - they can take your license away from you and levy fines against you.

If you are not licensed, the FCC doesn't care...

Maybe you need to decide - are you going to be a HAM or are you going to be a CB'r - rodger 10-4.. I'm gone!
