Can it be fitted to a specific channel or does it takes all the
channels once it is installed?

It is fitted in the audio circuits and has nothing to do with channel, so
will work on all channels.
Although, it can be switchable, so you can use it when you want or switch it
off at any time, on any channel.

Think of it as a squelch. The difference is that a standard squelch will
open up when a signal is strong enough, but the CTCSS will only open up if
they are sending the correct sound. Also, it needs no adjustment - it is
either on or off.

Regards,

Peter.
