I bought a new old stock RS TRC-485 off of eBay and rewired my Astatic
636L microphone for it and it doesn't sound good at all. Very low audio. The radio puts out 4 watts and swings 17 peak with the stock mic. The Astatic only swings the radio to 7. I also tried an old dynamic mic and that sounds great on the radio. I rewired the Astatic three times with two different 5 pin DIN plugs and it still doesn't work. I rewired it and put it back on my Uniden 78LTW. Why won't it work on the TRC-485? Thanks.......... |
