That's an even worse idea. ;-)

I am not speaking for Frank assclown, it was a statement. btw, it
never stopped you from sticking your snot keg in peoples business now
has it. Go back to your bottle.

I donut run a bottle on the Belvedere, pump gas only.

Just picked up a new Dodge 1500 Hemi. I don't need a bottle either. ;-)

Hey, long time no see! Congrats on the new truck, you like?

should ask if the truck veers towards gas stations, mine does :0

2500 miles on it now and I'm getting 14 to 15 overall. I've been told by
other owners that they get a solid 15 once their broken in. It gets about 17
on the highway.

Heh.. Wish I still had my old Corvair... It'd smoke BOTH of those, and
still have throttle left.

Ask me about it some time.

My Dad's friend had one of those Spyders. Turbo and everything. I don't
remember it being faster than 15 sec or so. My Dad's '62 F-85 Jetfire kicked
it's ass. 215ci/215hp, aluminum block, turbocharged. Weighed about 2500
pounds. 14.1 sec at Irwindale on skinny little 14 inch tires. ;-)

Somewhere.. I'll have to dig through my old stuff and scan them in..
it's been nearly 15 years since I did that.. If I run across 'em, I'll
be sure to get it done.

I'd like to see the little ******* as well.

Heh, "Nader's Nightmare". I love it. ;-)

Here's the steps, in order:

Take 65 corvair. Remove engine. Cap Diff. Put new clutch and plate on
front of tranny. Remove back seats. Cut hole in floorpan. Install
rollcage and crossmember. Lovingly slide LT1 into place where back
seats used to be. Bolt to tranny and motor mounts. Hookup wiring.
Install radiator under "hood" and run piping. Replace all fluids.
Testfire motor. Install 50's series tires on rear axle. Install 60's
series tires on front axle. Install trunk where old engine compartment
used to be. Paint corvair metallic burgundy. Stencil "Nader's
Nightmare" on both rear quarterfenders in bright fire engine yellow.
Watch Steveo's countenance drop when he realizes his Hemi is no match.

I thought Nader was against Volkswagons?

He had more to do with the death of the corvair than anyone. What's sad is
that the corvair was a pretty nice car by '65. The safety problems were in
the earlier years.

Hit the history books again.. He finally got the Corvair killed in
1969. He also got quite a few other good products killed... Well, they
were good after the bugs were worked out of them. The original
Corvairs (60-64) had only one U-joint on each rear halfshaft, and the
draglinks tended to buckle under high-speed turns, so the axles would
fold under, causing the car to roll. People were hurt. GM fixed the
problem with the 1965 model, but Nader still persisted and got it killed.

Also, this was, more or less, before the government mandated that safety
belts be mandatory.

It was crazy back then.

Cool. Gotta pic? I guess I can research, but I've forgotten what the '66
looked like. Hate to get it mixed-up with a Dodge! ;-)

Yea, it's a Plymouth! ;)

Here's one, that's my friend Mike in the pic. I'm sure
it will surface on some whacked out webpage now.
