Do you consider a telescopic steel antenna one that is "in sections"?

A telescopic antenna will have resistance between each section, reducing
the efficiency. If the antenna is similar to car radio antennas, with
nothing but friction to hold the sections up and make the connection, the
perfomance may not be too good.
The best option is a single piece steel type, although I imagine that
they can get in the way a bit.

Can you get 102" telescopic mobile antennas?

Regards,

Peter.

I can't keep from breaking the 36" one on my boom box.
