Can anyone remember when -5kc was great. 22A, 22B and RC's were private
communication. I ran 250W from a Johnson Viking on 22A and talked around
the world. Supposedly SSB was 16, 17, 18 but who are we to know? Bottom
line we did more with less and especially without the vulgar comments of
a few.

The bicentennial year was a great year for cb and exploring the
spectrum surrounding 27 mhz.The coffee breaks at least once a month with
hundreds of folks, picnics, raffles, and oh yea, shooting dx from the
mobile parked on the hills and by the water was always a thrill.....and
that first dx contact on cb!!
