Twist,

I'd ask you to explain to the gentleman that you won't be adding 'taps' to
inductors; you'll need more inductance, not more taps. But then, I'd be
asking you to lower yourself to his level. I don't think you are capable of
thinking that slowly.

He said " has components to cover 160 with some addl inductor taps"
That means he has a large enough inductor with a unused section that
includes taps that will increase the inductance for 160 .

Who's thinking to slowly?

Naw, it was a troll. Might as well keep it up as this newsgroup doesn't
seem to change too much anyways.
Seriously, I don't know what the fascination is with these multiple kilowatt
levels. I doubt many people are running more than a couple of hundred
watts, despite what the numbers show on the boxes that are being sold these
days (and most of those watts are likely nowhere near where one wants them
to be effective). I try not to think too much within these groups; however,
neither Twist nor I (which makes two) think too slowly.

I rarely exceed what comes out of the transmitter, and that's only
when it fairly quiet. I'm sure that's true of most of the regular
posters on this board.
