So you read your news offline for the most part.

Always.... Same with E-mail.
Sometimes, a message may contain a graphic or other file which,
when downloaded, gives info to some site.
It's not to difficult to do, I am sure that it is often done with spam.

I'd probably do the same if I was on a metered isp. Broadband rocks!

Happy new year.

Peter.

The same back at ya, Peter.

I did have an unlimited account, but I still read messages off-line.
I found that it really wasn't worth the cost... I was helping to fund the
cost of those who were using their connection about 20 hours a day,
and getting the crud service that we Brits get from companies who
get your money first.
It was cheaper to go for the "Pay As You Go" connection.

Broadband rocks!

I hear that Broadband has now been made available where I am, but
I don't use the Internet enough to worry about it.

Regards.

Peter.
