lafayette comstat 25 base....1968...........no doubt about
it.......bought it on time from lafayette.......paid $10.00 a
month.....had a call sign too issued by the fcc.....paid $8.00 for
three years i think.......in those days the area where i lived as a
kid was thickly populated with radio antennas.......and a grey 300 was
a big deal..........and the fcc routinely busted people for running
power......

First Mobil Radio was a Cobra 148GTL, running a 5" Firstick II in 1992.
First Base was a Goldern Eagle MarkIII, the other fun base I have and still
have today (Not working right now) is a DAK Mark X.
