I drive a truck, and have a Cobra 148 GTL as my primary radio. The
radio has had some work done to it, and since I got it back, I have
noticed the radio is much louder. It's like it's picking up background
noise. With the truck off, the radio is more quiet, and I can hear
much less static. With the truck on, it's giving me some awful static
and feedback from time to time when I pull next to another driver.
Also, if I turn my heat/air on, or turn my wipers on, the static gets
even louder. The radio may have had some mods done to it that would
boost the output, but I am definatly not running anything like a
linear amp. My question, is if anyone makes some type of filter that
will kill all this background noise. Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
