I'm not cheerleading, simply being realistic.

I will be honest with you - I do get a charge how many folks get their
panties in a knot over twist. Really. Yes, I've told the story about the
rhombic antenna with 40 KW to it. Hey, the XO wanted a phone patch. I was
*not* at the transmitter (I was 20 miles away). If you were ever in the
military (any you may well have been), you would understand. You do *not*
say no. Certainly not an enlisted man LOL.

My honest opinion (and you are welcome to yours) is to leave it be. A lot
of folks 'pump up the stories' just to get others upset. There are a lot of
law-abiding folks (and some not as law abiding, I'll grant), but let the FCC
do its' job (which is largely to promote big business AKA BPL) and if you or
I have a problem, *VOTE*. It isn't a big secret in this country. Really.

I'm not slamming you, just take a look at reality. I'm 56 now and I don't
need to make any enemies LOL

Jim

Yup. You can still read a map. However,
Train has kinfolk in Tarpon.

I went to Pearl Harbor once, makes a man's

blood boil.

No dood, I was at the S Pacific real deal. We honey-mooned in Hawaaya'.
It's a real intense thing for any patriotic American citizen to see, at
least it was for me.

I have outlaws living in Ft Meyers tho. :)

Right on. When I lived near Shark I had many chances to go to Hawaii,
just never did.......dunno know why, either, Flights for 59 bucks,,,,no
excuse. Just way busy doing other things.

Well, well,,,for a fellow citizen fo rec.radio.cb, I'd make that drive
to put the eyeball and spoke on ya' and buy ya cup of your fave beverage
and show ya' some of the finer things to do in that area. There are some
cool things to do near Fort Myers other than fishing...you really ought
consider a little excursion some day to the southland.

Has nothing to do with reading a map,

Yea? What does it have to do with, then. You aren't being real clear
with your attempts at conveying (communicatig) your message or what you
mean.

palm harbor and lutz are more than just

names on a map.

Correct. They are unique towns and some of my stomping grounds. Years
ago, hunted and played all through Lutz, which you still can't
correctly pronounce...go on,,,,,take a stab at it and quit worrying
about what you'll look like when you fail...I'll give you the correct
pronounciation after you provide for this midweek chuckle. Scouts
honor, that if you try real hard and in earnest to pronounce it, I'll
permit you to run amok for seven days with no corrections or
punishments.

I may do that Twist, I don't get much time off work tho. I get hours
off, but days are tough for me. I've been to the Keys a couple times
and Daytona, and Kisemme(sp), once..had a great time at all of them.

I'll ring you up next time I'm headed down there for sure..as always
thanks for the invitation.

Be sure to ring me if you're headed up to the Buckeye.

Kissimmee is now strip mall upon strip mall and just like
Orlando..Mickey-Moused out...but there are still areas on the outskirts
where you can get close to nature.
I had good intentions last holiday season concerning the buckeye,,was
even gonna take in a show some friends were putting on in
Cleveland...then the bug hit, and no amount of Tylenol helped that
strain. Y'all had one hell of a winter.
