Well, you both could buy CB radios and put up very large antennas and
then try to contact each other every day. You'll probably be able to
talk to her about once in 5 or 10 years.

Possible? Yes. Dependant on atmospheric conditions.

Practical? No. Those same atmospheric conditions are unpredictable and
far from reliable on the CB band.

As someone else suggested, use internet chatting, it's probably just
as cheap and far more reliable.

Then again, with a big enough amp, directional antenna and mudda nature,
they can do it much more than your knowledge permits.
