Well, you both could buy CB radios and put up very large antennas and
then try to contact each other every day. You'll probably be able to talk to her about once in 5 or 10 years. "Frederic" wrote in message ... Hi, My girlfriend lives in Japan and I live in France. I would like to know if it s possible to chat with her with a CB? We call each other every day and it s a little bit expensive... Thanks for the answers! fred |

Thanks for the answers! fred Possible? Yes. Dependant on atmospheric conditions. Practical? No. Those same atmospheric conditions are unpredictable and far from reliable on the CB band. As someone else suggested, use internet chatting, it's probably just as cheap and far more reliable. Dave "Sandbagger" http://home.ptd.net/~n3cvj |

Then again, with a big enough amp, directional antenna and mudda nature,
they can do it much more than your knowledge permits. _ Group: rec.radio.cb Date: Sun, May 9, 2004, 8:32pm (EDT-3) From: (John=A0Jenkins) Well, you both could buy CB radios and put up very large antennas and then try to contact each other every day.
