If your going to yell into the mic the way you are yelling in this ng, then
the D104 is a bad idea. maybe an rk56 would be a better choice.
Buy a cobra.

The 78XL is an excellent radio. The Uniden chassis are much more robust
than any other on the market today.

They have a mod for that radio that will give you 50 watts PEP and real
loud and clean audio. If you put a D-104 on it and crank it up, you will
no longer be clean and your audio will be distorted. Just crack it open
and you will sound great!
