SWEET! Not a bad price either. He probably won't sell it to a non ham
though.

Most hams are more faithful to cash than the hobby.

Agreed. I've found most people have a price, no matter what their belief
system may be. But there are quite a few that will stick with their
principles until the price gets WAY up there.

Exactly.

A real interesting contradiction on this site......

From the MODS Special Page:
http://www.wholesalecbradio.com/ALL_...DS_SPECIAL.htm

"Most stock-out-of-the-box radios do 4 watts that's about 5 mile range.
After mods the same radios do 25 to 45 watts and talk at least 20-30 miles."

Then, on another page, they de-bunk their own hype:
http://wholesalecbradio.com/Truth_about_power.htm

"Just as a matter of information, most radios are built with a five-watt
final.
So, if some shop tells you that they can get 40 or 50 watts out of one,
draw your own conclusion. There is no way of making this happen."

Like they said........... "Draw your own conclusion."

The reason I'm choosing to build the EB63 is that it
is a tried and true design that hams use.

The EB63 is illegal for use on CB radio.

First off, I didn't post that. So, you're starting crap with the wrong
person. again...

and how is it, when someone is confronted with the truth, that person
always wants to attack that persons religious beliefs?

The Bible Speaks very clearly about you, Mr. Douglas Adair.

"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"
-- Matthew 25:41

That's right, Dougie, You're on your way to hell, and devil is
laughing his fool head off at you. But it doesn't have to be that
way... Bible says:

2 Peter 3:9 -- "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that
any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "

Romans 3:10 - "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not
one:"

Acts 17:30 - "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to repent: "

Romans 10:9-10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 10:13 -"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved. "

That's Dougie, God made a way of excape for you. Yes, I've made
mistakes in the Past... I've done some really dumb stuff in this
newsgroup in the past, and I've repented for it. But you douglas
adair, you are lost and going to hell, without Christ. I will be the
witness to your judgement. and I now stand blameless before the Lord,
because I had the boldness to declare his Gospel in this newsgroup.

and..... In case, you don't ever do this.... This will be your
fate....:

Matthew 25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

and eventually...:

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

Make your Choice Doug, before it's too late...

Cool link. I've never used one of these. How do they compare to the
newer Palomars (which I heard are not the same as the old Palomars)?
