There are 2 or 3 guys that sell mobile linear amps on the airwavwes in
my area almost every day. They are meeting people and they are sure
selling amps. Is that the kind of stuff you guys are talking about?

Here's the Mod for FT 902D Yaesu if you want to use it on CB.

SIMPLE MOD

You change all crystals in the 10 meter position to 1mhz LOWER

That gives 26 to 28 mhz operation and that is all you need to do 98% of
the
time.
