I was on a generator. Lelnad asked me almost the same thing. It's a small price to pay for living in absolute paradise. The yankee transplants were the ones bitching about everything. Florida born crackers know what to expect and don't build ****ty northern home designs and architecture in evacuation areas....those who never been through such storms, do.....once. Same on this Gulf coast as well. Some here, as in FL, think manufactured housing is acceptable. Those in FL learned otherwise this year, and those here will one day learn that lesson. I was messing around the woods near Arcadia a few weeks ago and 95% of the structures there STILL have blue tarps for roofs. FEMA has a large lot there with a mess of trailers on it for those whose homes were detsroyed. The town is still in shambles and everywhere you look, major cleanup is still going on. They got hit with all three storms in that area. Incredible sights, Looks like a war zone..twisted metal still laying around in many fields and yards. |
