http://www.cbgazette.com/79-290_review.html I would try to get a Uniden Grant, Grant XL, Grant LT, or their equiv, if you serious into SSB. If you are just going to AM, then the 959 is fine. Vinnie S. Thanks Vinnie. I see these on Ebay all the time. Aren't these pretty old? I havent CB'd for years and was gonna giver er a try again. Most CB technology has been unchanged in the last 20 years, with a couple exceptions. Midland made what appears to be state of the art display, but their receiver sucks. What many people is get a modded 10 meter radio and use it on CB. The Grants are somewhat old, but very well made. You have to find one that hasn't been hacked. There are a bunch of Grant equivilent radios that use the same board. Uniden still makes excellent AM radio today, if you want just AM. Or you can go with the Galaxy. I would go with Uniden.
