Default CB to 28MHz mods

Does anyone know of any good websites dealing with converting CBs to 10m
amateur band?
Especially the good old PLL02a.

Start with this one; http://www.cbcintl.com/
Many articles where written for 73 Mag some 20 years ago on converting
Hy-gain type CB radios to 10 meter FM.
I have them all but it would be one heck of a job to scan.
Let me know if I can help.

It would be easier to find a 2950 then to convert a radio and be stuck
to "channels" in a VFO band.

Hi Jack,

Most of the mods are pretty simple and with the right radio involve simply
changing a crystal. Not even that with some of the 02a's as the binary
codes will easily reach 10 meters.

Now, if you want a challenge, try taking a CB down to 20 or 40 meters. Now
you have to know some circiut fundamentals!

Good luck,
Al

It was the PLL02a mods I was really interested in. Does anyone have the
details?
I'll work up to "challenging mods" in time )
