Uniden Oceanus - radio is on but nothing seems to work

Uniden Oceanus - radio is on but nothing seems to work

I may be dumb here but I have just bought a second hand boat with a
Uniden Oceanus radio which doesn't appear to be working - yet the LCD
screen shows everything is working.

Am I dumb or doing something wrong?
