Hello Steve:

So did you find a mast?

Hi Jay. The only one I've found is the cheap junk at Lowes, any
suggestions?

Telescopic mast, where did it go? I can't find anything but that cheap
stuff they sell at Lowes that resembles galvanized exhaust pipe. Anyone
know where I can order the heavier stuff? (i know shipping's gonna
suck)

Hello Stevo:

What is it you want to mount on the mast, the Interceptor 10-K? or some
other antenna.

A lot of guys have used the these 30 Foot Lowes Masts, but I suggest you
guy wire them every 10 feet with the good black nylon rope.

Nah, the 10-K is up already. I was thinking of putting a scanner antenna up
on a telescopic mast. A small ham radio shop not far from me used to have
nice heavy duty 50 footers, but he's about to go out of business and won't
order anymore.

Dang. I didn't pay much more than that for the radio and power

Get a used one on ebay. One thing, that mic comes with a cable
already.

Vinnie S.

Good idea. Are you feeling any better yet?

I had a test today. I had to swallow white Barium to show up on XRAY. I
**** a white turd !

Anyway, I am feeling better, but not 100%. I have not had one of those
bad attacks in 2 weeks

Vinnie S.

Dang, a white turd?! lol Did the doc give you any clue as to what's wrong,
or they are still trying to figure that out?

Well, it's not serious or fatal. There is some sort of stomach infection. I have
to take another blood test to confirm.

I've got a mast from the former GDR-army for 150 EURos
one year ago and fixed it on a little trailor for fieldday use.
It has 30ft and I added a 10ft extension.

Hello Steveo:

Yes the Telescoping masts seem to be drying up everywhere. As TV and FM
Antennas are not selling like they use to. Which was the main market
that kept the Telescoping Masts on the market. Even Radio Shack doesn't
carry them any more.

The Lowes 30 foot mast will work just fine for a smaller scanner or
VHF/UHF Antenna. But it needs to guy wired every 10 feet.

http://www.rohnnet.com/ROHNNET/rohnn...004/index.html

Rohn use to make a heavy duty telescoping masts, but Radian bought them
out, see the web site address there.

Many of the guys are using light weight towers to get there antennas up
at the 40 feet and above, even to the 70 foot level.
