Get a 12 VDC power supply - about 5 amp; attach the CB to the power
supply - making sure to connect the positive (red) and negative (black)
wires to the correct terminals of the power supply, then plug the power
supply into an outlet. Before using the CB, attach an antenna; most
convenient will be a mag-mount mobile one (get one total about 5' high)
on top of a file cabinet or low steel bookshelf.
