I still don't see the line you quoted. I do see that Frank was trying to explain
to you that a cell phone was much more reliable for reaching the authorities
and emergency services directly - rather than passing the message through
anonymous freebanders and taking a chance it will be garbled.

Also he questioned your use of the term "radio dead zone". If you were in a
radio dead zone that means that no signals get out. Yet you felt 100 watts
on freeband would get out, even in this so called "dead zone". Frank told
you to take a 3 watt cell phone and get to high ground. You preferred to
stay with the CB and "leenyar".


Don't try to reason with him. Senseless arguing makes him feel smart,
but he can't see that it just makes him look senseless -- it's better
that he doesn't find out!!!
