If I'm not mistaken the Console V was one of the last radios with the
modified 02A chip for 40 channel coverage. It was based on a SBE mobile placed into a rather lavish wood cabinet with additional controls. Many of the SBE radios were based on Raytheon chassis. "Dungeon Master" wrote in message oups.com... Hello, I'm an owner of a SBE Console V. This was SBE's answer to the addition of channels 24-40. Unfortunately, this rig was fairly expensive $450-$600 range and wasn't as friendly to modification as it's peer group of radios. This is a sharp looking rig even for todays standards and a decent performer. 73 Dungeon Master |
