Small business makes this economy work in large numbers, no reason to be trampled unless you're lazy. Unless you sell products that Wal-Mart sells, then look at the footprints left on your back. Like MTD? I was shocked to find that my Troy Built is an MTD:-( Why? It's an American company right down the road from me. Local employees and everything..just another small business. They can't be THAT small, they supply Wal-Mart with tons of riding mowers. I bought the Troy Built thinking I was helping a small company, and I did in a way, as I bought it from a small Troy Built dealer. Mr Mall started that tool and die company in a garage down by trisckett road many moons ago. (third generation now) Big or small is a relative thing and I wouldn't call them big. Maybe I'm bias since I know a couple red necks that work there. At any rate my point still stands...it's an American company employing us Americans..in fact they put an American flag sticker on every machine they make. (sometimes it's hidden) |
