As we as aspiring _REAL_ Radio Hams communicate in
difficult circumstances without requiring BBC-quality 5 'n' 9 both ways, perhaps we should just take BPL in our stride? Perhaps it will act as a filter to remove those who are not _REAL_ Radio Hams but are just CBers-Masquerading-As-Radio-Hams from the bands? "John McHarry" wrote in message ... I came across an article on broadband over power lines (BPL) tests. http://news.com.com/2100-1034_3-5163739.html I found it reading Slashdot, to give credit where it is due. My question is whether any hams in the test areas, Cincinnati, Ohio; Allentown, Pa.; and Manassas, Va. have noted any interference or increase in noise floors. If so, on what bands? There has been a fair amount of hue and cry about this, but I have yet to see any reports of results from the current trials. |
