The PK900 should work great with WinAPRS. Just put it into the KISS mode.
If WinAPRS does not do it for you, then use a simple terminal program like
Windows HyperTerminal,
and type the command "KISS ON". Then exit HyperTerminal and run WinAPRS.

If you want to continue using both ports at the same time, then you will
need to put the PK900
into the XKISS mode. But I am not sure whether WinAPRS supports XKISS.
(The command to put the PK-900 into extended KISS is "KISS $03")

In any event, when the PK900 is in the XKISS mode, you will not be able to
use the HF port for RTTY, AMTOR, PACTOR etc. You will only be able to use
the HF mode for packet...

By the way, WinAPRS is an old design 16 bit application. I prefer 32 bit
applications like UI-VIEW or WinAPRS+SA. You may want to check those
programs out. They all support TNC's with KISS mode.
