That's a data port -- not audio, hence no power out.

Use either the 13 pin accessory connector or the RJ45 -- either will work.

That would be correct. You get AF out of your soundcard. For receive, you
can take the AF from that connector to the soundcard. If I recall, this is
independent of the volume control which is pretty nice. You get tired of
hearing the squawk from the digital modes pretty quick.

Be careful of bridging some of those other pins. One of them is a supply, 8
volts I think. If you take it to ground there is an internal fuse that will
go. It's an easy replace, but it's kind of a sinking feeling when the radio
won't power up! The pins on that 13 pin DIN are mighty close.
