I have the SignaLink SL-1+ and it works great. I am using it with Mac
OSX and a Kenwood TS-570S(G) and cocoaModem software.

The reason I selected the SL-1+ over other interface units on the market
was the unique Auto-PTT. It handles the PTT for me without having to
mess with a serial connection. It detects the sound card output and
closes the PPT line. Tigertronics supplied a cable the plugs into the
SL-1 and the ACC2 (13-Pin DINN) on the back of the Kenwood rig. Life is
too short to ever solder another 13-Pin Dinn plug.

I chose the SL-1+ for the same reason. I have a homebrew interface, but it
requires a com port for PTT. My Del laptop doesn't have a com port and USB
adaptors don't always work. The Tigertronics works great.

I found the unit to work fine. My only gripe is that the mic cable
supplied is pretty short (about 16 inches). I feel it should be about
double that length.
