2J/MJ, JERSEY (Date Change). Operators Kevan/2E0WMG (2J0WMG) and Mark/M0MJH
(MJ0MJH) will be active from Jersey (EU-013) between April 20-26th (not
March 20-26th). They also hope to activate Les Minquiers Reef (EU-099)
during their trip. QSL via their home callsigns (addresses on QRZ.com).

9M0, SPRATLY ISLANDS (Update). Operator Ed/N1UR and his xyl Christine/
KB1PQN (her first DXpedition) are still expected to be active from Layang-
Layang Island Resort, Spratly Islands (AS-051) between 0800z, March 22nd
and 0000z, March 30th. The duo have already received their 9M6/N1UR and
9M6/KB1PQN licenses. Once they get permission from the Navy, they will
apply for a special 9M0 callsign. Activity will be on 160-10 meters, CW
and SSB. There will be a station on 160m or 80m CW from 1030-1300z and
2100-2300z daily. At other times in darkness, they will be on various
bands at different times. Sunset on Spratly is 1040z and Sunrise is 2240z
by the middle of that week. Since omnidirectional verticals on the beach
will be used, please be sure to check long path and short path for the
strongest signals. The operators will be moving bands frequently to take
advantage of any shorter band openings. They will only be using 100 watts.

BY4, CHINA. Pascal, F5JSD, is working in China this week and hopes to
visit the Shanghai BY4AA ARC. He reportedly has received a Chinese license
and hopes to be active for one or two hours on March 3rd, between 0600-
0900z from this ARC using the callsign F5JSD/BY4AA. Activity will
probably be on 20 meters CW. Watch for DX clusters spots.

CS9/CT3/CT9, MADEIRA ISLANDS. Operator Helmut, DF7ZS, will be active as
CS9L (or CT9L) during the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest (March 29-30th) as a
Single-Op/High-Power entry. He is also planning to be active before and
after the contest if time permits as CT3/DF7ZS. QSL via DJ6QT (Bureau).

DXCC NEWS. Bill Moore, NC1L, ARRL DXCC Manager, reports that the following
operation is approved for DXCC credit:
3C7Y - Equatorial Guinea; 2007 Operation

EA9, CEUTA AND MELILLA. Jorge, EA9LZ, will be active as EA9LZ or possibly
EE9Z during the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest (March 29-30th) as Single-Op/All-

FM, MARTINIQUE. Rene, F5LGE, is now active FM/F5LGE until March 30th.
Activity is 160 and 80 meters only and on CW. Operations seem to take

HI, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Operators Edwin/HI3K, Tino/HI3CCP and Dani/EA4ATI,

be active in the upcoming CQ WPX SSB Contest (March 29-30th) from Lomas

HK0, SAN ANDRES ISLAND (NA-033). Six members of the Texas DX Society
were active during this past weekend's ARRL International DX Phone Contest
(March 1-2nd) as 5J0E. The group will continue to be active until March
6th, signing as HK0/homecall on SSB, CW and the Digital modes. Operators
a Cal/WF5W, Paul/W5PF, Keith/NM5G, Bill/K5WAF, Chuck/W5PR, and Jim/N4AL.

IOTA NEWS.......................
AS-113. Jenchieh, BU2AI, will once again be active as BU2AI/9 from
Matsu Island between now and March 20th. He will operate as
a mobile station during this period. Activity will only be
during his spare time, mainly from 1000-2300Z. He will try
to focus on low band, CW and SSB. More information can be

EU-128. Operators Axel/DH8AK, Sebastian/DO6ELW, Dirk/DK4DJ and Henning/
DK9LB will be active as homecall/p from Fehmarn Island (O-01
for the German Islands Award) from March 14-21st. They will
also activate two lighthouses: Marienleuchte - Old Tower (ARLHS
FED-151) and Marienleuchte - New Tower (ARLHS FED-016, WLOTA
LH-0637). Activity will be on 80-10 meters, SSB, PSK31 and

NA-035. (Update) Operators Ray/WQ7R/HR9, Lane/KC4CD/HR2, Antonio/HR2DX,
Daniel/HR2DMR, Ramon/HR7REA, Javier/HR2J, Pedro/HR2PAC, Vinicio/
HR2MD, Oscar/HR9OGS, Boyd/HR9BFS, Tom/W4JKC, Bill/NZ5N, Jim/W9GL,
Ted/K9IMM and possibly more will activate Swan Island as HQ8R
between March 15-23rd. They plan to be active on 160-10 meters
with two stations on phone, one on CW and one on the Digital
modes (RTTY and PSK31). They plan to have four stations with ten
operators. Bill/NZ5N announced this past week that he will be
active on the satellites from Swan Island (Grid EK87), using
a FT-817 and an Arrow antenna. Time permitting, Bill will also
try to make a few contacts before and after the expedition
from the Honduran mainland, EK55, EK65 and EK75. Weather
permitting, they may also try to give out EK76 from the boat

NA-194/
NA-205. Operators Cezar/VE3LYC and Ken/G3OCA will activate Finger Hill
Island (NA-194) and Paul Island (NA-205) in the Newfoundland
Province (Labrador) North and Centre Group, respectively,
between July 30th and August 4th. These island groups have only
been activated once, 14 and 13 years ago, respectively. Since
only 6-7% of the IOTA members have them confirmed, both groups
are on the most wanted list. Callsigns will be VE3LYC/VO2
(Cezar) and VO2/G3OCA (Ken). QSL via VE3LYC, direct or by the
bureau (G/GM/GW/GI stations can confirm via G3OCA).

OC-130. Maarten, PA3GZU, will be active as DU9/PA3GZU from Mindanao
Island (WLOTA LH-2803, WW Loc. PJ27UH) between April 12th
and May 12th. Activity will be mainly 20 meters (SSB - 14260
kHz and BPSK31 14070 kHz). Operations will be limited because
Maarten is on holiday. Most activity is expected during the
end of April and first week of May. QSL via his home callsign,
bureau is preferred.

KH9, WAKE ISLAND. Colin, WA2YUN, currently on a work assignment on
Wake Island (OC-053, USI OI-012S, WLOTA LH-2293) for an extended period,
will operate as time permits as WA2YUN/KH9. QSL via K2PF. He was heard
this past week on 60 meters (5403.5 and 5371.5 kHz) between 1100-1200z
and 20 meters usually after 0715z.

KL5, ALASKA (Special Event). Ron, AC7DX, informs OPDX that he will be
the QSL Manager for Alaska DX Club's, KL5O, special event club station
celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alaska's statehood. No QSNs are
available yet (PLEASE send them in). Please follow QSL directions of
AC7DX at QRZ.com.

ON70/ON9, BELGIUM (Special Event). The radio club OSA in Antwerpen (member
of the UBA) will activate the special callsign ON70REDSTAR during the
year 2008. A special QSL card will be available via ON4OSA, either by the
bureau or direct (QRZ.COM). The special event station was active this
past weekend on 20 meters CW (around 14032 kHz after 1345z). Activity is
to celebrate the "Red Star Line", a shipping company that operated from
Antwerp to North America between 1873 and 1934. During that period, over
3 million immigrants travelled with that line to the USA and Canada. A
special exhibition for the "Red Star Line" is being shown in the Antwerp
Shipping Museum during 2008. The Antwerp Shipping Museum is located in
"Het Steen" an old castle on the banks of the river Schelde. At the end
of the year the museum will move to a new location in the old harbour of
Antwerp where there will be more possibilities to show the rich history
of Antwerp and the River Schelde. Also to be activate on a regular basis
is the callsign ON9BD from the Lightship Westhinder III, a museum ship
located in the old harbour of Antwerp.

the 8R1PY Guyana DXpedition have been sent out by the CWJF Group (PY4KL
- QSL Manager). PLEASE NOTE: PY4KL is NOT the QSL Manager for the Haiti
DXpedition PS7EB/HH.

Hank, K8DD, requests to please hold off sending envelopes for PZ5DD
and PZ5WW until March 15th. Both logs will go up on LoTW as soon as
the 30 days has passed from the last contact.

SU0, EGYPT (Possible 80m!). Mustapha, DL1BDF, will be active from the
Egyptian Amateur Radio Assembly ARC (EARA) station, SU0ARA, in Cairo,
between March 11-19th. Activity will be on all HF bands. For the first
time there "could" be some activity on the 80 meters (permission is
pending). Usually in Egypt this band is reserved for the military
authorities. QSL via SU1KM.

T8 & V6, PALAU AND MICRONESIA. Members of the Yamato Club (JA1ZEK) will
be active from Yap Island (OC-012) between April 9-16th. Look for the
following operators to sign: Sasi/JA1KJW (V63JQ), Mat/JA1JQY (V63JY)
and Kuni/JA8VE (V63VE). The group will then move to Palau (OC-009)
and be active from April 16-19th as T88KJ (JA1KJW), T88VE (JA8VE) and
T88JY (JA1JQY). Activity will be on the HF bands, CW, SSB and RTTY.
QSL V63VE and T88VE via JF1OCQ. QSL all others to their home callsign,
direct or by the bureau.

TC18, TURKEY (Special Event). Members of the Turkish group called SWAT
(Special Wireless Activity Team) will be active as TC18M between March
15-19th. Activity is to commemorate the 93rd anniversary of the "Naval
Victory in th Gelibolu Wars (World War I ). Operations will take place
from the University of Canakkale grounds and on the Asiatic side of
Dardanelles, overlooking the Straits where the Naval War took place.
Look for activity to mainly be on the 17, 20 and 40 meter bands using
SSB and CW. Operators will be TA3FB, TA2IJ, TA2RX, TA1FR and TA1HZ. For

Weather and antenna space permitting, possible 2m and 70cm activity
towards SV and LZ stations will also be tried.

TF, ICELAND. A Russian team of operators will be active as TF/RK3MWL
and homecall/TF from here between March 11-18th. Operators mentioned
are Alex/RA3MR, Artem/RD3MA, Dmitry/RA3MF, Helen/RV3ACA (YL), Valery/
RZ6AU and Serge/UA1ANA. The group will be active with an emphasis on
the low band and 30/17/12 meters using all modes. Also, look for them
to be active in the Russian DX Contest (RDXC - March 16-17th) as TF4Y.

TK, CORSICA (EU-014). Members of the Radio Club Pazin (9A7P) will be
active as TK/homecall between March 13-17th. Operators mentioned are
Dragan/9A2SX, Igor/9A3AXX, Hrle/9A6XX and Marko/9A8MM. Activity will be
on 80-10 meters and include an entry in the Russian DX Contest (March
15-16th) as TK/9A8MM. The group will be operating from Sisco valley in
the north part of the island just outside Bastia. The equipment that
they will be using is a TS-440S + FT-857D, SB-220, 2 laptops, Spiderbeam
(20/15/10m) and an Inverted Vee for 80/40m. Other Corsica reference
numbers a DIFM TK-001, MIA MCO-001 and WLOTA LH-1390. All QSL cards
will be sent via the bureau (per their other previous two operations).

TX5C, CLIPPERTON ATOLL DXPEDITION UPDATE. The TX5C team is now heading
toward Clipperton aboard the "Shogun" and has been active on the air as
FO5A/mm. The team set sail from San Diego during their evening, February
27th, a day ahead of schedule. If everything goes as planned and weather
permitting, the team should be active from the island March 7th for ten
days. Here are the following suggested frequencies:
CW - 1827, 3507, 7007, 10107, 14027, 18078, 21027, 24897, 28027, 50107
SSB - 1847, 3797, 7057, 14197/14227*, 18147, 21295, 24947, 28497, 50127
RTTY - 3577, 7037, 10127, 14077, 18107, 21077, 24927, 28077

Their goal is to make over 100,000 QSOs, and they will pay special
attention to working some of the more difficult areas like Europe and
the Middle East. Pilots stations for this operation are Dave/K4SV
), Jean-Michel/F6AJA ) and Chris/DL5NAM

V2, ANTIGUA (NA-100). Chris, M0AJT, will be active as V26CC between now
and March 14th. He plans to be active in the Commonwealth Contest or BERU
(March 8-9th) from the Cable & Wireless site located at Boggy Peak on
top of the highest hill on the island. Outside of contest, Chris will be
active from the hotel, mainly on CW with some SSB. He will be using a
FT-900AT w/100 watts into Butternut multi-band vertical.

VP2M, MONTSERRAT. Nobby, G0VJG, has announced that after his Antigua
(NA-100) operation as V25V from the V26B super station at Gunthroppes
(between March 28-30th) for the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest (March 29-30th),
look for him to be active as VP2MAD from Montserrat (NA-103) between
April 1-3rd. Activity will be on the HF bands and 6 meters SSB only.
QSL only direct to his QSL Manager G4DFI.

V4, ST. KITTS (NA-104). Nick, G4FAL, will be active possibly as V4/G4FAL
between March 3-10th. Activity will be on 80/40/20/15/10 meters mainly
on CW. Also, look for him to be an entry in the RSGB Commonwealth Contest
(March 8-9th). QSL via his home callsign.

VP6DX NOW QRT. After breaking several QSO records (including the most
QSOs by a DXpedition), the VP6DX operation from Ducie Island went QRT
at 1359z, February 27th. The team made a total of 183686 QSOs (CW - 87294,
SSB - 86140 and RTTY - 10252). The complete breakdown (by band and mode),
as well as the log and updates on their trip home, is available on their

ADDED NOTE: On February 21st, the Ducie Island expedition submitted
data for over seven thousand VP6DX contacts to the ARRL robot. These
contacts were with over 900 stations whose owners made financial
contributions of at least five U.S. dollars to the expedition through
February 24th.

W4, UNITED STATES (USI Op and Special Event). Operators Bill/KE4KQQ,
Chris/KI4RVH and Brad/AG4MB will be active as W4U from Ocean Isle Beach
(USI NC-011S, Not IOTA, Brunswick County, North Carolina), between March
3-7th. Activity is to celebrate the "Public Kite Lifted Antenna Demon-
stration In honor of Gorge Pocock" and will be on the air around or near
28390, 14245, 7250, and 3900 kHz on SSB. The trio may try 60 meters, so
watch on 5371.5 and 5403.5 kHz in the evening. QSL via KI4RVH, direct or
by the bureau or eQSL. For direct QSLs in the U.S. please include a SASE.

YN, NICARAGUA. Members of 4M5DX Group (Alex/YV5SSB, Jose/YV5TX and
possibly others) will be active as YN2YV from Granada between March
17-21st. Their goal is to have at least 2 stations on the air on
different bands during all of the operation. They want to be active
on 160-6 meters, as well as 60/30/17/12 meters and the lower bands.
Modes mentioned a SSB/RTTY/BPSK31/BPSK63 and possibly CW. QSL via
