CE - CHILE
Scott,K0MD, will stay in Chile from Aug 16-22. If he is successful to
become active listen for him especially on 40-15m. QSL via K0MD.

The "Radio Club Frontera Norte" will be QRV from the Alacran lighthouse
signing 3G1F in CW/SSB on 40-10m on Aug 16/17. QSL via EA5KB.

H40 - TEMOTU ISLANDS, OC-163
Like written in the previous DXNL Mike,KM9D, and his YL Jan,KF4TUG,
will show up from Vanikolo Island (OC-163) soon. Bernhard,DL2GAC/H44MS,
writes that it will be most likely H40MY. Bernhard extended the license
for Mike in April 2008 and sent it to him - it is valid until the end
of 2008.

HI - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, NA-122
HI9/IK2GNW is hitting the airwaves in SSB and RTTY on 80-6m from
Cayo Leventado (NA-122) from Aug 9-22. Adriano is using an amplifier,
verticals and dipoles. QSL cards only direct via I2YSB.

HP - PANAMA
Several members of the "Panama Canal Amateur Association" (PCARA) and
the "Radio Club de Panama" (HP1RCP) will be active with the callsign
H81L activating the Panama Canal Miraflores Locks Lighthouse (PAN-030)
in CW, SSB and digital modes on Aug 16/17. QSL via HP1RCP.

KP5 - DESECHEO ISLAND
Information spreads around that the very rare DXCC entity Desecheo
shall be activated from Nov 12-26. The callsign will be K5D.
More details will be published in the DXNL shortly before the activity.

T8 - PALAU, OC-009
Hidenori,JI2TXU, will stay at the West Plaza Hotel in Koror on
Palau (OC-009) from Aug 15-20. He plans to show up as T88TX in SSB on
40m, 20m, 15m, 12m, 10m and 6m. QSL via JI2TXU.

ZD8 - ASCENSION ISLAND, AF-003
Bob,VP8LP, will stay on Ascension Island (AF-003) on Aug 15/16 and on
Sep 14. He will use the callsign ZD8LP using a vertical on 40-10m.
QSLs direct via his homecall.

5B - CYPRUS, AS-004
Andrey,5B/LZ2HM, is working on HF and 6m until Aug 14. He used the
call C4I during the WAE Contest. QSLs for both calls direct via LZ2HM.

5Z - KENYA
Antonio,5Z4/IK8VRH, and Enrico,5Z4ES, are going to activate several
islands belonging to Kenya in August. Their travelling schedule is:
Coast Province North Group (AF-040) Aug 15-17
Coast Province South Group (AF-067) Aug 20-22
Activities are planned on in CW, SSB and RTTY on 40m, 20m and 17m.
Their equipment is a FT-450AT, 300 watts amplifier, a bubble dipole and
a ZX Mini Beam.

ARCTICA: The drift of SP35 has ended - the next one is SP36. On Aug 14 the
"Akademik Federov" left Arkhangelsk to Wrangel Island where the new
drifting station "SP36" is assembled. The journey of the expedition
vessel will last from Aug 14 until Sep 22 and leads the ships via
Franz-Josef-Land and Zevernaya Zemlya to Wrangel Island. Two HAM OPs
will be onboard this trip (UA6LP and RZ6MF) and will activate the
call UE6MAC/mm. UE6MAC is the special event call of the "RK Arctica"
and will be activated also from the village Esso (RDA: KT-05) on the
peninsula Kamchatka before signing UE6MAC/0 from Aug 14-24.

DATES: The annual Russian HAM meeting "Domodedovo 2008" takes place from
Sep 19-21. It will be a big event again - more than 550 HAMs from
several countries confirmed their participation.
