A2 - BOTSWANA
To the delight of many lowband DXers team leader Sigi,DL7DF, chose
Botswana as his next destination. Sigi will be accompanied by his
friends Manfred,DK1BT, Wolfgang,DL4WK, Andy,DL5CW, Frank,DL7UFR, and
Leszek,SP3DOI. The team will be active with two stations at the same
time in CW and SSB on 10-160m plus another one reserved only for the
digital modes RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV between Sep 23 and Oct 6. Their
callsign will be A25/DL7DF, pilot stations will be Bernd,DF3CB, and
Floyd,N5FG. As usual the QSL cards should be sent to DL7DF direct or

CN - MOROCCO
Gab,HA3JB, will activate the new callsign CN2IPA of the "International
Police Association" from Sep 21 until Oct 5. Gab will work in CW, RTTY,
PSK, SSTV and some SSB and plans to take part in the CQDX RTTY Contest.
QSLs should be sent via his homecall and count for the I.P.A. award.

FM - MARTINIQUE, NA-107
Freddy,F5IRO, moves his business to Martinique (NA-107) from Sep 21
until February 2009. Most likely he will sign FM/F5IRO in CW, digital
modes and also SSB on 40m, 30m and 20m during his little spare time
at the weekends after 2200 UTC. QSLs direct or via bureau via homecall.

H40 - TEMOTU ISLANDS, IOTA OC-163
Mike,KM9D (H40MY), is anchoring with his yacht nearby the village
Lavaka Vanikoro (IOTA OC-163) since Monday Sep 8. From the same village
Bernhard,DL2GAC, activated this IOTA group for the first time in 1992.
Mike and YL Jan,KF4TUG, are looking for a better anchoring place before
going ashore and looking for a place for their antennas. See also:

JW - SVALBARD, EU-026
Haugseth,LA7WCA, is going to hit the airwaves as JW7WCA for the second
time from Sep 19-26. He will be accompanied by LA8BCA (JW8BCA), and
LB9UE,(JW/LB9UE) and they will work mostly in SSB and only some CW
on 10-160m. QSL for JW7WCA via LA7WCA.
No QSL route was announced for the other callsigns.

KP4 - PUERTO RICO, NA-099
The call NP3FM will be activated by the members of the "Puerto Rico
Amateur Radio Society" in CW, SSB and PSK31 on 40-10m during the
"Free Mason Week" from Sep 19,1300 UTC, until Sep 20,0100 UTC.
QSL via KP4ARS.

T8 - PALAU, OC-009
T88IW will be the call of JF2IWW from Sep 20-28. He will work in
CW, SSB and via satellite on 80-6m from Koror Island (OC-009).
QSL cards via homecall.

5H - TANZANIA
5H3AP is momentarily the callsign of Arno,DL1CW, who was very active on
30 and 17m during the last days. He will activate Mafia Island (AF-054)
in CW and RTTY from Sep 22 until Oct 1. QSL via DARC bureau to DL1CW.

5R - MADAGASCAR, AF-090
The OPs Jack,F1BCS, Jim,F1HDI, F5JBE,Gil, F6ABJ,Remy, F6COW,Mickael,
F6EIE,Oliver, and F6EPD,Dan, are going on DXpedition to the island
Sainte Marie (AF-090) from Sep 18-27. They will work in SSB/CW/SSTV/
PSK31/RTTY/JT65 on 2m-160m using the calls: 5R8GM (SSB), 5R8JM (CW),
5R8IM (digital modes) and 5R8EM for 144 MHz EME operation. 5R8GM will
work in SSB mostly on the IOTA frequencies. QSL manager for all calls
is OM Salomon,F1BCS, and he confirms direct, via bureau, LoTW or eQSL.

8Q7 - MALEDIVES
Mark Haynes,M0DXR, writes that he is going to hit the airwaves as 8Q7XR
from Sep 22 until Oct 5. Mark and his XYL Gemma,2E0WPX, plan to marry
on Sep 20 and they will spend their honeymoon on the Maledives. Both
will work in CW and SSB on 40m-10m using an IC-7000 and a G5RV dipole.
QSL direct or via bureau to M0DXR.

9H - MALTA, EU-023
Naoyuki,JK1FNL, will be QRV in SSB/CW/RTTY on 40m, 30m and 20m from
Sep 19-24. Naoyuki applied for the callsign 9H3F (or 9H3FF).
QSL via homecall.

FRANCE, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The 30th meeting of the Clipperton DX Club will take place in Poitiers
on Sep 19/20. The special event call TM8CDX is working in all modes on
HF and 2m from Sep 6-20. Rafik,F5CQ, confirms the QSLs also via bureau.

ITALY, SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS
The COTA station IQ6CC (Carabinieri On The Air, http://www.cota.cc)
will be QRV during the 4th COTA Radio Meetings in Castelfidardo/Ancona
on Sep 20/21. The QSL manager is IW6DSM.

The Road Cycling World Championships will take place in Varese from
Sep 22-28. The special event stations IQ2IR (QSL via IZ2ELV),
II2UCI (IZ2DVI) and II2BIN (IW2KVT) will be active in SSB, CW, RTTY and

MOLDOVA, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The city of Bendery celebrates its 600th anniversary and the special
callsign ER600B is activated until Oct 8. QSL direct via RW6HS.

SILENT KEY: Kenth Johansson,SM6DYK, a wellknown DXer and QSL manager passed
away at the age of 62 years on August 26.

PIRATE: Tony,IK8VRH, wanted to become active from Kenya but got no license.
However, someone misused his callsign when working as 5Z4/IK8VRH.
