Default This weekend: YO HF DX Contest and CVA DX Contest SSB

This weekend it';s time for the Romanian contest sponsored by the "Romanian Amateur Radio Federation" starting Saturday at 12.00 UTC and ending Sunday at 11:59:59 UTC.

Bands and Modes

From 80 to 10 meters, in CW and SSB.
QSO in DX band segments are not allowed. The same station can be worked once on CW and once on SSB in the appropriate band segments according to IARU band plans.

Categories

For NON Romanian stations:
A. SO-AB-CW-LP
B. SO-AB-CW-HP
C. SO-AB-SSB-LP
D. SO-AB-SSB-HP
E. SO-AB-Mixed-LP
F. SO-AB-Mixed-HP
G. SO-SB-Mixed (3,5; 7; 14; 21; 28 MHz, any power)
H. MOST-AB-Mixed
I. YN (Young and novices): Operator under 16 years or licensed from 3 years or less.

LP - no more than 100 W output / HP - more than 100 W output.

Exchange

Foreign stations will transmit RS(T) + serial number, starting with 001.

Romanian stations will transmit RS(T) + abbreviation of the district or BU for stations from Bucharest.
Points
8 points per QSO with YO station4 points per QSO with non-YO station on different continent2 points per QSO with non-YO station in different country, same continent1 point per QSO with non-YO station in same country
Multipliers
Each DXCC country (not YO) once per bandEach YO county once per band
Logs must be sent in Cabrillo formato to: Â*no later than 27 September.

This weekend we also take note of the SSB portion of the Brazilian CVA DX contest, taking place on Saturday, 21 UTC until Sunday, 21 UTC on the 80-10 meter bands.

You get one point for each QSO with non Brazilian stations and 3 points for QSO withÂ*Brazilian stations.

Multipliers are given by the Brazilian states (aka FU, Federal Units), once for band. Worked DXCC entities also count as multipliers, regardless of the band.
